Giving Value to Email Subscribers- 7 Day Blog Challenge – Day 4

Writing contentTutorial

So as part of the 7 Day Blogging Challenge, the task for Day 4 has been to put a tutorial together that would be helpful to my readers.

I’m still working in the background on building my own tutorial, but I do have access to the most incredible tools to add value to my own blog, and have the ability to share them with my own readers.  The reason I am not blogging a tutorial in one day as part of this challenge, is that my personal interpretation of a tutorial is a step by step guide which helps someone achieve a goal, or learn something new.  To me that would take more time that a one day post would allow – at least in my own particular niche.

Writing Tips

As such, I decided to put together some tips for writing good content, and then direct you to a tutorial which may help with giving your email subscribers relevant and helpful information.

  1. Be authentic (genuine) – You can always tell when someone is not being authentic in their blogs, and it’s going to be cause to drive traffic away rather than keep readers interested.
  2. Be helpful.  Putting in content that is just a lot of keywords or affiliate links is not only going to cost you in SEO, but will put readers off. Give your readers a reason to continue reading.
  3. Use headers.  I’ve used Headers in this post and it helps to make reading easier on the eye for most.  It will also encourage those readers who skim read to stick around, because they will have easy access to readable content.
  4. Use different colours in your text to highlight certain words – don’t overdo it of course, but the use of colour and bold/italics will definitely help to grab your reader’s attention.
  5. Use images that are relevant to your post –

How to Engage with Your Email Subscribers

I have found the tutorials, training and community here very helpful, and I wanted to take this opportunity to share some of that content with you.  It’s absolutely free to you, and I do hope you will find it useful in your blogging journey.
